She Steps Up is a monthly recognition series that shines a light on women in the footwear industry. The theme for this month’s spotlight is “Mentors and Educators: Coaches, trainers, and people developers who invest in others,” and the spotlight centers on Catherine Hernandez, CFM (Color, Materials, Finishes) Designer at Skechers.

2025 was another powerful year of impact for the Two Ten Footwear Foundation. Through relief grants, higher-education scholarships, and upskilling opportunities, we supported footwear employees and their families during moments of hardship — and helped open doors for long-term opportunities. Together, we continued our mission to provide hope, opportunity, and community across the footwear industry.

The Two Ten Footwear Foundation (Two Ten) today announced the naming of its new Board Chair and Vice Chair, both of whom were confirmed at the Two Ten Board of Directors meeting last month. Jonathan Frankel, President of ALDO Product Services at the ALDO Group, succeeds Joe Preston, President & CEO of New Balance, who has served as Board Chair since 2024, and Ed Rosenfeld, Chairman & CEO at Steve Madden, now serves as Board Vice Chair.

Earlier this month, the Two Ten Footwear Foundation announced the launch of a new named scholarship that will recognize a special group of industry leaders: those who have chaired Two Ten’s Board of Directors. The Two Ten Chair Emeritus Scholarship was created to honor the enduring impact of the Foundation's Board Chairs, whose vision and leadership advance the organization’s mission, during the years of their board service and well beyond.
