Two Ten Footwear Foundation has been supporting and uniting America’s footwear industry since Depression-era 1939, when a group of footwear workers came together at 210 Lincoln Street in Boston to help a colleague who had fallen on hard times.

Two Ten Footwear Cares® is the annual, national volunteer campaign that engages thousands of footwear industry employees across the U.S., who come together to improve their communities. What began as a one week volunteer blitz and grew into a month-long volunteer campaign is now a year-long movement that brings the inherent care and compassion of the footwear industry directly into our own neighborhoods.

Two Ten Annual Gala & VIP Dinner
On Wednesday, November 29th Two Ten hosted our annual VIP Dinner & Gala, celebrating a night of giving and entertainment at the renowned Hammerstein Ballroom. Less than 48 hours after the Two Ten Footwear Foundation raised $3.6 million in a single night, the charitable organization’s top executive said he is still in awe of the industry’s generous contributions, both large and small.

Join executive coach Amie Blumerg for a dynamic session about “The Art of Networking.” Attendees will learn how to be a creative conversationalist, how to leverage your current network and the best way to maintain relationships after the first introduction. Moderated by Co-Chair of the WIFI Mentoring committee Carol Goodhue, this session will provide tips and ideas to help build confidence and encourage you to feel more comfortable “working the room.”
Amie Blumberg has spent the bulk of her career as an executive in the retail and fashion industries. She has extensive merchandising, design, sourcing, development, branding, marketing and ecommerce experience used to build, grow, and turnaround wholesale and retail businesses.
In her current role as an executive coach, she works with clients in a range of industries to identify strengths and turn their career goals into action. She thinks of herself as a catalyst, a connector between people and their ambitions. Her coaching approach focuses on strategizing, focusing on peoples’ strengths, and identifying patterns of behavior beneath the surface. She has experience with executive and professional coaching, leadership transitions, organizational change and leadership development and has been a consultant for Ladies Who Launch, an organization dedicated to mentoring women entrepreneurs.

“Sexual Harassment in the Workplace”

The “MeToo” movement has sparked an enormous amount of important conversations and activism around the subject of sexual harassment, and this issue has become much more prevalent in today’s work place than previously thought. As an a HR professional, are you prepared to support your employees and is your company protected?
Join Linda Vogel, strategic legal counsel focused on employment law and former chief legal counsel at Aerosoles for a conversation about sexual harassment in the work place. This session will address the differences between sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct and what companies need to do to protect their employees. Moderated by the Co-Chair of the WIFI Mentoring committee Carol Goodhue, attendees will hear about four key mechanisms that all companies should have in place to address sexual harassment or a hostile work environment.

The 2nd Annual Two Ten Women in Footwear Impact Awards will be presented during the FN PLATFORM Show in Las Vegas in February. The awards are designed to recognize the industry’s most dynamic leaders for their accomplishments both professionally and personally. The awards will be distributed in four categories:
Influencer Award: This award will go to a woman who has been a trailblazer in the industry. She is a risk taker, and has done something extraordinary that sets her apart from her peers all while staying true to herself.
Leadership Award: This award will go to a woman who has been in the industry for most of her career. She will be chosen for her leadership, passion, reputation and impact on the footwear industry.
Advancement Award: This award will be given to a woman who has contributed to the advancement of women and female leaders in the industry. She is a trailblazer for women on her team, always searching for additional opportunities for their career growth and development.
Community Award: This award is given to a woman who has made an impact on the growth of WIFI. She regularly attends WIFI events and encourages other women at her company to get involved in supporting Two Ten WIFI.
Launched in 2010, and now with more than 4,000 members nationwide and nine regional chapters, Two Ten Women in Footwear Industry (WIFI) is the footwear industry’s preeminent national women’s organization. WIFI harnesses the collective power of women to support the Two Ten Footwear Foundation, while providing a forum for empowering women through mentoring, education, relationships and events.
