Shoe Industry Professionals Gather for Networking and Cocktails at The Atlanta Shoe Market
Tuesday, August 12, 2025
More than 60 footwear industry professionals gathered for an evening of networking, cocktails and connection at the Women in the Footwear Industry (WIFI) networking event at the Atlanta Shoe Market this past Sunday.
Attendees mingled with industry friends, participated in a speed networking exercise and heard from some of their peers in the industry.
Laura Conwell O’Brien, Executive Director of the Atlanta Shoe Market and longtime supporter of Two Ten, offered a few words of welcome before the evening kicked off.
“I have such a passion for this foundation,” Laura said. “As long as I’m here, I will always be dedicated to the Two Ten Foundation.”
Andrea De Haro, an Account Executive at Soho Shoes and a Two Ten scholarship recipient, reflected on the power of relationships and networking in her remarks.
“One thing I’ve learned is that relationships matter more than anything,” Andrea said. “Nights like this are a reminder that our industry is as much about people as it is about product. Trends shift, markets change, and challenges come up — but the network we build, the way we show up for each other, how we support others — especially other women, is what keeps this community strong.”
