As Shawna’s manager and colleague for more than 10 years, Katie Darling, Vice President of DTC North America at PUMA, has seen firsthand her ability to build momentum, inspire her teams, and foster professional growth. By celebrating milestones and breaking down goals into achievable steps, Shawna has earned a reputation as the "ultimate team builder." 

“Shawna has incredible enthusiasm and a true passion for training and development,” said Katie. “She challenges those around her to continue to grow and is the first one to celebrate accomplishments no matter how small. Shawna is able to break down goals into achievable milestones and teach others in memorable ways. Shawna’s enthusiasm, positivity, and passion are contagious.” 

Larissa Sandoval, Retail Store Manager for PUMA North America and WIFI Leadership Council Member, also witnessed Shawna’s team-building abilities firsthand as a former member of her team. She recalled partnering with Shawna to support a store that needed significant assistance and highlighted her hands-on leadership style, noting that she worked side by side with the team to ensure the job got done, always leading by example. 

“Throughout my experience working with her, she has consistently provided timely, constructive feedback while taking the time to listen to concerns and collaborate on clear action plans that help others grow and succeed,” Larissa said. “Her positive attitude, passion for PUMA, and genuine commitment to people help foster the fun, supportive culture that makes our region successful.” 

Alongside her team-building skills, Shawna has become a trusted resource for operational guidance and leadership development. Her willingness to mentor others and share her expertise has made her an invaluable leader and a fitting choice for this month's recognition.
