Amélie Provost is the Senior Director of Marketing at ALDO Product Services and a member of the WIFI Leadership Council. She sat down with Two Ten to discuss her journey with WIFI and ALDO’s exciting new commitment to the future of the initiative.

Can you share a bit about your journey with WIFI and what initially inspired you to get involved?

My journey with WIFI started because Jonathan Frankel, who’s the president of ALDO Product Services and vice-chair of Two Ten’s board, suggested I get involved and I’m really glad he did! I’ve always been passionate about supporting women, especially in our industry where women don’t always have a clear path to senior roles. When I learned more about WIFI’s mission to empower women in the footwear industry, it just felt like the right community to join. It’s been such a rewarding experience connecting with other leaders who share that same drive and getting to play a part in breaking down barriers for women in our field.

As a member of the WIFI Leadership Council, what have been some of the most meaningful moments for you so far?

Some of the most meaningful moments have come from the genuine connections and conversations with other passionate women leaders. For instance, I’ve kept in touch with someone I met during an in-person conference earlier this year, where we were on a panel together. Maintaining that connection has been a great reminder of how these relationships extend beyond just events and truly support ongoing growth. Being part of the WIFI Council has provided a unique space to share our stories, challenges, and successes, which is incredibly empowering.

How has your involvement in WIFI influenced your leadership at ALDO?

WIFI has broadened my perspective on inclusive leadership and reinforced the importance of creating environments where diverse voices are heard and valued. WIFI’s community and resources continuously inspire me to push the boundaries of what’s possible for women in our division and beyond. This influence translates into a more intentional approach to mentorship and team development.

ALDO is making an exciting new commitment to WIFI — what does this milestone mean to you personally?

This commitment feels like a powerful moment of alignment between my personal values and the ALDO Group’s vision for the future. It’s motivating to see the company not just talking about change but actively investing in it. Personally, I feel proud to be part of an organization where gender equity isn’t just a statement – it’s a fact, as women make up half of our leadership team, as well as 63% of associates at the director-level and up. This milestone with WIFI reinforces that we’re on the right path, and it pushes us to keep going. It’s an exciting step forward for the ALDO Group, for our team, and for the industry.

What impact do you hope ALDO’s commitment will have on the WIFI community, and the footwear industry as a whole?

By setting a strong example, we can encourage other brands to get involved too, creating a ripple effect that opens more doors and builds stronger support networks for women throughout the footwear space. When we invest in women’s growth and leadership, we open the door to new ideas, new ways of thinking, and better business outcomes.

What excites you most about the future of WIFI and its growing community?

WIFI’s community is becoming a powerful force for change, one that continuously evolves to meet the needs of women at every stage of their careers. The potential for innovative programming, expanded mentorship opportunities, and cross-brand collaborations makes me optimistic about the future.
