Happy 2020!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season, spent with your loved-ones and perhaps lending a helping hand in your community to spread the holiday cheer. We sure did! As part of our Footwear Cares commitment to service and helping local communities, the Two Ten Footwear Foundation team participated in The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Castle event.
The event, which takes place over four days in The Castle at Park Plaza here in Boston, provides more than 5,000 families – approximately 11,000 individuals – with food vouchers, warm coats, and toys for the holidays. “Shoppers”, as the Two Ten team members were called, helped individuals select coats for themselves and their families, as well as age-appropriate toys for their children. With holiday music as our backdrop, and local families-in-need receiving assistance, the mood was cheerful and festive. But it was also humbling…to experience the families’ gratitude, especially since many of them don’t have coats to keep themselves warm in the New England winter, or presents for their children. As a team, we made a small but meaningful impact for whom it makes the biggest difference.
We look forward to another active year of Footwear Cares events across the country, generously supported by our title sponsor Shoes.com. Stay tuned for our calendar of group events coming soon.
