When I was at a point when I wasn’’t sure where to turn – Two Ten was there. So when my company invited us to participate in giving back to Two Ten – how could I not?

I’ll never forget the day I picked up the phone and called. It’s humbling to ask for help. But the person on the other end of the phone, she was amazing. She talked me through my options and assured me that they were there to help. And they did.

I had recently taken over guardianship of my nephew and I was faced with a decision – move to keep my job or stay and find something new. I knew what we needed – we needed a change. We needed to get away from the history, we needed a fresh start. But with funeral expenses, the new cost of having a teenager and now an impending move. I didn’t know how to do it.

I can now say that move was the best thing that ever happened to us. My nephew is thriving at college. I have been given the opportunity to grow in my position. We are now in a position where we can give back. It doesn’t take millions to make the difference in someone’s life. I am a true testament to that.

Thank you Two Ten for helping me and my family live a better life.
