Two Ten Financial Hardship & Disaster Relief
For more than 80 years, Two Ten Footwear Foundation has been providing crisis relief and financial hardship assistance to US footwear industry employees. Through natural disasters, recessions, job losses, and other critical times of personal financial insecurity, footwear families have turned to Two Ten to help them navigate unexpected hardships.
The Foundation has never been more relevant than we are today. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic 10 months ago, we have experienced an increase of 10X the number of emergency financial assistance applications and have awarded $3.6M in grants to over 5,200 footwear families, more than doubling our relief numbers compared to last year. During this time, our team worked quickly to modify the application process and provide more expedited assistance to meet the overwhelming industry need and get the funds into the hands of those who need it most even faster.
In the wake of the coronavirus and its significant, ongoing impact on the industry, we have been reviewing how we can most effectively support our footwear colleagues. We have listened to your feedback and in an effort to address the current need, we will no longer be accepting COVID-19 applications. We have re-opened our Financial Hardship Relief Program, to aid those struggling to pay utilities, car/auto bills, rents, and mortgages.
The Two Ten team is committed to working hard to help those most vulnerable in our industry, but we urgently need your support to continue offering meaningful financial aid. Please consider making a donation today to assist the footwear community and your fellow colleagues.
