“Sometimes a little help and a kind ear is enough to get someone over life’s hurdles and onto the next stage,” says Tanya Robinson, Two Ten Social Services Intake Specialist. Her caring, thoughtful approach to her work makes her invaluable to the Two Ten mission.
Tanya grew up in Boston and went to school for Criminal Justice before starting her career working with teenagers to develop independent living skills. Before joining the Two Ten team, Tanya was a House Manager for Communities for People – STARR Program, a therapeutic assessment shelter for at-risk male youth. “I really enjoyed working with the youth and empowering them. Motivating them to be the best they can be and not allow their past to determine their future,” said Tanya. She has seen it all, and heard it all — and loves that her job at Two Ten gives her the ability to make an immediate difference in the lives for footwear families who find themselves on hard times.
“Tanya is a bright, energetic, and compassionate intake specialist. She connects quickly with shoepeople who need our help, and goes above and beyond to respond to their needs. Tanya’s dedication and eternally upbeat attitude makes her a welcome addition to our team,” says Kate Alley, Program Director, Social Services and Scholarships.
