Two Ten Women in Footwear and Presenting Sponsor, Skechers, today announced the recipients of its second annual Women In Footwear Industry (WIFI) Impact Awards. Six women will be honored during a cocktail and networking event, scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th during the FN PLATFORM trade show in Las Vegas.
This year’s honorees are incredibly accomplished women who have made a significant impact on the footwear industry and we are pleased to recognize them in a public forum.
WIFI Influencer Award
Co-Founder, Chief Creative Officer – Shoes of Prey
This year’s Influencer award honoree is Jodie Fox, who has fearlessly built Shoes of Prey into a global multi-million dollar enterprise. She took a risk by leaving her law career to found Shoes of Prey in 2009. The company broke even at 2 months, hit multi-million dollar revenue in under 2 years and today is a global multi-million dollar enterprise, with stores in Nordstrom and David Jones Department Stores.
WIFI Advancement Award
Wendy Wood Yang
President of HOKA, Teva & Sanuk – Deckers Brands
This year’s Advancement award will go to Wendy Wood Yang who has been an advocate for the success of women for her entire career. She is known for her commitment to cultivating and elevating female talent in the footwear industry. Prior to joining Deckers, Wendy held senior-level positions with Stride Rite Corporation, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger Footwear, Reebok, and New Balance, where she served as General Manager, Women’s Training, Lifestyle, Walking.
WIFI Community Award
VP, Merchandise & Inventory – Nordstrom, Inc.
As the chair of the WIFI Seattle committee, Alison Prince has been instrumental in building awareness about Two Ten among women in footwear in the Northwest. She has consistently encourage colleagues and women on her team to be involved in WIFI through the mentoring program, national and regional events. Alison joined Nordstrom in 2007 as Inventory Manager and prior to this she worked at Bloomingdales as an Assistant Buyer.
