New Balance Athletics and the New Balance Foundation have been long-time partners of the Two Ten Footwear Foundation. Collectively, their mission is to improve the health and well-being of children and families through their support of a multitude of different initiatives worldwide. With more than 30 years of support and dedication to Two Ten, New Balance has made a difference in the lives of thousands of footwear colleagues and their families facing hardship due to mounting bills, natural disasters, catastrophic illness, or any number of urgent life crises.
Each year we receive thousands of harrowing calls for help – associates who lost their jobs following corporate bankruptcy, are dealing with a family medical emergency, or are facing eviction because they’ve fallen behind on their rent.
Two Ten is pleased to announce that the New Balance Foundation has awarded a three-year, $675,000 grant to support our Common Good Fund and Educational Scholarships in addition to our national Footwear Cares volunteer initiative. This gift, coupled with New Balance employee volunteer efforts and engagement in our Women in the Footwear Industry (WIFI) chapters across the country, underscores the incredible philanthropic culture throughout their entire organization. In a letter to Two Ten, the New Balance Foundation said, “We are proud to continue supporting our community partners who share a common goal of promoting health and wellness for children and families.”
We are very excited by this renewed and strengthened partnership and look forward to many more years of working together with New Balance and the New Balance Foundation. Their generosity will help countless footwear families across the nation.
