Congratulations Two Ten Scholars!
Each year, Two Ten Footwear Foundation awards college scholarships to qualifying members of the footwear industry. We are thrilled to share with you this year’s cohort of scholars! Please take a moment to get to know each of our 2022-2023 scholarship award winners below.

Lucelis Acevedo, Worcester State University - Irving Backman Scholarship
I moved from the Dominican Republic to the US when I was eleven. I overcame many challenges and achieved English fluency which makes "going to college" sound less horrifying because I am confident I can overcome any struggle that gets in my way.

Bryson Bailey, Maine Maritime Academy - Harold Alfond Scholarship
I am entering my sophomore year at Maine Maritime Academy and studying to become an engineer. This award will go a long way in helping me continue with my education and the best experience of my life.

Sydnie Balzer, University of North Texas - James S. and Violet P. Munro Scholarship
After graduating from high school with honors, I plan to continue striving towards my academic goals. One of which includes earning a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Daniel Banda, Chaffey College - Caleres Endowed Scholarship

Kyli Baysinger, University of Missouri, Columbia - Paul & Elissa Cahn Scholarship
I am majoring in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Textiles & Management. I plan to pursue a career in the fashion apparel or footwear industry with a focus on sustainability to offer fashion-forward products that are environmentally friendly.

Joslyn Bello, Rutgers University-Camden - Joseph Connors Memorial Scholarship
I will be attending Rutgers University-Camden in the fall of 2021 majoring in nursing. I am so thankful for the Two Ten Scholarship award!

Jake Berend, The University of Tampa - William P. Ellison Memorial Scholarship
I will be attending The University of Tampa in the fall and I am studying Sports Management. I am eager to continue my academic goals and give back to the world that has given me so much.

Jenna Bichler, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh - Quabaug Corporation Scholarship
Education is definitely my priority but I stay active with school and club commitments as well as working at a grocery store and a daycare. I look forward to the coming school year as we return to in-person learning and living.

Gennifer Brown, University of Missouri-Kansas City - Mary Kathryn Ball Memorial Scholarship
I decided that it was important to go back to school to continue to grow. Not just for a degree, but to take the things I learn in school and apply them in my everyday work with the Oregon Department of Justice.

I'm earning an MFA in graphic design. I previously graduated from FIDM with a bachelor’s degree in footwear design, I am sharpening my design skills to be a more well-rounded and successful footwear designer at K-Swiss where I currently work.

Jade DeCaria, University of Akron - Spencer Companies, Inc. Scholarship
My most notable achievement so far has been getting on the dean's list last year when everything was shut down because of the virus. So far college has been really great and I hope to continue having fun this year!

I'm majoring in Chemistry/ Pre-Med. My father passed away from heart disease and I want to be able to help others with conditions' like his and with the support of my family and the aid of the Two Ten, I will be able to accomplish my aspirations.

I am a fashion designer, contemporary artist, and entrepreneur working out of NYC. I founded my eponymous label in 2017 and I plan on working in the footwear and apparel industry while developing my social justice inspired design perspective.

Brooklyn Laribo, Middle Tennessee State University - Two Ten Footwear Foundation Scholarship
I major in Sociology and minor in Criminology and Writing and anticipate becoming a defense attorney after attaining my law degree. My most notable achievement thus far has been my sustainment of a 4.0 throughout the entirety of my college career.

I hope to become an Occupational Therapist. I have a little brother who has Autism, and to be able to help him and more children live life as normally as they can is what I strive for. Last semester I achieved my goal of making it on the dean's list!
