Congratulations Two Ten Scholars!

Each year, Two Ten Footwear Foundation awards college scholarships to qualifying members of the footwear industry. We are thrilled to share with you this year’s cohort of scholars! Please take a moment to get to know each of our 2022-2023 scholarship award winners below.

Lucelis Acevedo, Worcester State University - Irving Backman Scholarship

I moved from the Dominican Republic to the US when I was eleven. I overcame many challenges and achieved English fluency which makes "going to college" sound less horrifying because I am confident I can overcome any struggle that gets in my way.

David Aceves, Point Loma Nazarene University -Sonny and Desiree Shar Scholarship

Paisleigh Atwood, Saint Michaels College - New England Leather & Components Scholarship

I'm an incoming freshman and field hockey player at Saint Michael's College where I will be majoring in Environmental Science.

Bryson Bailey, Maine Maritime Academy - Harold Alfond Scholarship

I am entering my sophomore year at Maine Maritime Academy and studying to become an engineer. This award will go a long way in helping me continue with my education and the best experience of my life.

Sydnie Balzer, University of North Texas - James S. and Violet P. Munro Scholarship

After graduating from high school with honors, I plan to continue striving towards my academic goals. One of which includes earning a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Daniel Banda, Chaffey College - Caleres Endowed Scholarship

I am determined to back up my experience with a college degree so I am able to be my best. Not only for myself and my family but for my company as well.

Kyli Baysinger, University of Missouri, Columbia - Paul & Elissa Cahn Scholarship

I am majoring in Environmental Sciences with a minor in Textiles & Management. I plan to pursue a career in the fashion apparel or footwear industry with a focus on sustainability to offer fashion-forward products that are environmentally friendly.

Joslyn Bello, Rutgers University-Camden - Joseph Connors Memorial Scholarship

I will be attending Rutgers University-Camden in the fall of 2021 majoring in nursing. I am so thankful for the Two Ten Scholarship award!

Jake Berend, The University of Tampa - William P. Ellison Memorial Scholarship

I will be attending The University of Tampa in the fall and I am studying Sports Management. I am eager to continue my academic goals and give back to the world that has given me so much.

Jenna Bichler, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh - Quabaug Corporation Scholarship

Education is definitely my priority but I stay active with school and club commitments as well as working at a grocery store and a daycare. I look forward to the coming school year as we return to in-person learning and living.

Shy Bodenstadt, University of Akron Main Campus - Pentland USA, Inc. Scholarship

Mitchell Brenner, University of Wisconsin Madison - Brian C. Cook Scholarship

I previously attended Northern Michigan University where I played soccer and made the Dean's list every semester. I am studying computer science and plan to get a masters.

Gennifer Brown, University of Missouri-Kansas City - Mary Kathryn Ball Memorial Scholarship

I decided that it was important to go back to school to continue to grow. Not just for a degree, but to take the things I learn in school and apply them in my everyday work with the Oregon Department of Justice.

I am a senior Medical Laboratory Science major with a minor in Psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi. One of my proudest achievements is being on the Dean's list.

Tamara Caballero, Valley Forge Christian College - Central Pennsylvania Shoe and Leather Association Scholarship

My love for music started at a very young age, and since then music has been an escape and my way of expression. As a Music Education major and future educator, I'm excited to create music with students and see them grow.

Brandon Casey, Eastern Kentucky University - Selby Memorial Scholarship

I am currently studying Paramedic Science and plan to attend medical school once I graduate. Thanks to Two Ten I have made the Dean’s List every semester and received the President’s Award last semester.

I am founder and Co-President of “The Palmier,” the new culinary magazine on the Tufts Campus, and served this past year as Chair of the Tufts Community Union Judiciary branch of student government.

I'm earning an MFA in graphic design. I previously graduated from FIDM with a bachelor’s degree in footwear design, I am sharpening my design skills to be a more well-rounded and successful footwear designer at K-Swiss where I currently work.

Peter Davis, South Kent School - General Scholarship Fund

Jade DeCaria, University of Akron - Spencer Companies, Inc. Scholarship

My most notable achievement so far has been getting on the dean's list last year when everything was shut down because of the virus. So far college has been really great and I hope to continue having fun this year!

After my son was born I decided to get my degree in accounting. Going back to school was the best decision I've made, it has helped me with my job at BBC International where I've loved working for the last six years.

Timia Dixon, Murray State University - Kobacker Scholarship

I'm majoring in Chemistry/ Pre-Med. My father passed away from heart disease and I want to be able to help others with conditions' like his and with the support of my family and the aid of the Two Ten, I will be able to accomplish my aspirations.

Sean Donlan, San Francisco State University - Titleist-Footjoy Worldwide Scholarship

I am an incoming freshman at San Francisco State University. The Two Ten Scholarship has allowed me to continue my education in Broadcast and Electronic Communications.

Andrew Dupy, Illinois State University - Footwear Warriors Scholarship

Aran Glynn, Babson College - Jacob "Jake" Werbin Memorial Scholarship

I am a fashion designer, contemporary artist, and entrepreneur working out of NYC. I founded my eponymous label in 2017 and I plan on working in the footwear and apparel industry while developing my social justice inspired design perspective.

Kenneth Grayson, Walters State Community College - Melvin Starensier Memorial Scholarship

I am super thankful. I’ve worked in the footwear industry since I came out of high school, and it has allowed me to meet so many great people.

Krystle Howard, Greenville Technical College - Laura Marglin Memorial Scholarship

Cameron Jagger, Indiana University-Bloomington - Mary and Geoffrey Bloom Scholarship

I am an upcoming Junior currently working on a Gender Studies major and a Human Resource Management minor. Using my education, I plan to give back to those who have contributed towards all of my accomplishments throughout life.

I am a rising junior at the University of Michigan, attending the Ross School of Business, and I have worked for Liberty Footwear Inc. since 2016.

Brooklyn Laribo, Middle Tennessee State University - Two Ten Footwear Foundation Scholarship

I major in Sociology and minor in Criminology and Writing and anticipate becoming a defense attorney after attaining my law degree. My most notable achievement thus far has been my sustainment of a 4.0 throughout the entirety of my college career.

Kenard Laribo, Carson-Newman College - Ansin Family Scholarship Fund

I hope to become an Occupational Therapist. I have a little brother who has Autism, and to be able to help him and more children live life as normally as they can is what I strive for. Last semester I achieved my goal of making it on the dean's list!

Jordyn Post, South Dakota State University - Footwear Warriors Scholarship

My future plan is to pursue a career in women's health as either a medical doctor or a physician’s assistant. I am so grateful for this scholarship!

I am a double major in Film/Television Projection and Dramatic Writing. When not in class, I can be found working on student-created projects such as a podcast sound engineer or as an Assistant Director for an animated short film.

Charles Tacker, Emerson College - Stone Family Scholarship

Film is my passion and what I want to do with my life. At Emerson I will be studying media arts and will master every aspect of filmmaking. My family has worked hard and made a lot of sacrifices to get me here. I'm grateful for all the support.
