At the recent FN PLATFORM show in Las Vegas, over 150 women in the footwear industry attended a special WIFI event with Debbie Ferrée, Vice Chairman and Chief Merchandising Officer at DSW, Designer Shoe Warehouse.
Debbie was interviewed by Libby Edelman, SVP, Sam Edelman and Co-chair of the Women in Footwear Industry National Committee. She spoke candidly about her career highlights, personal accomplishments and lessons she’s learned along the way.

About Debbie Ferrée:
About Debbie Debbie currently serves as the Vice Chairman and Chief Merchandising Officer of DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse. Ms. Ferrée joined DSW in November 1997. She served as President and Chief Merchandising Officer from November 2004 to January 2006 and as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer from March 2002 until November 2004. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising beginning in September 2000, and Vice President of Merchandising beginning in October 1997.
Prior to joining DSW, Ms. Ferrée worked in the retail industry for more than 30 years in various positions, including serving as Divisional Merchandising Manager of Shoes, Accessories and Intimate Apparel for Harris Department Store, Womens Buyer for Ross Stores and Divisional Merchandising Manager of the May company. Ms. Ferrée currently serves on the board of directors for Olive Crest, a non-profit organization that serves abused children in the southern California area; the Two-Ten Organization, a non-profit organization that supports individuals in the footwear industry and the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFaNY), a not-for-profit trade association representing the footwear industry.
